D-block Devils won the contest, and walked off with the famous Bedpan
Trophy for the first time. Congratulations to
their team, and especially to Chris and Chris for putting it together.
The Haddow team came second, after a spectacular finish last week, when
it won the running, swimming and tug-of-war
in three successive evenings. Haddow therefore retains the Load of
Balls trophy.
The final table (according to my calculation) was
D-block Devils 116
Haddow 93
Physics 86
CRC 71
Radiotherapy 69
Pill Poppers 63
Thanks to all who took part: especially -
to organisers Chris Chandler, Steve & Sandra Edwards, Elisa and Laura, John Bartlett and John Beech;
to Sandra Easdale and her team at the barbecue;
and to Dave Cross and Retro Rock Icon for playing at the finals celebration at no cost to us (and at some risk of getting very wet!)
** Don't forget! - most of the sports which were such fun in the Miniolympics are fun all the year round, and the regular players would be happy to see some new faces. Join up now! **
