Squash Section - Coaching

We were very sad to hear that our longstanding and much loved coach Ron Nye passed away in November 2022.
His popular and well attended courses began in 2001, and on average he ran two formal coaching courses every year since then along with informal and practice sessions.
Ron Nye was a Nationally Qualified England Squash Coach Level 3/4.
We will miss him very much, and he is a hard act to follow.

Six Week Coaching Course: These courses were for all levels including total beginners and the last one we ran was in June 2022.

Informal Coaching (ad hoc) Course These sessions ran in the Spring and Summer of 2022.

Free Taster Coaching Sessions: These took place in November 2021 - click here for more info (for all levels).

Supervised Squash Practice Sessions These were run on a voluntary basis by our Assistant Coach (ESR Level 1) in the Summer of 2022 and resumed in October 2022 primarily on Tuesday evenings & other days by arrangement. These have been on hold since the sad news about Ronnie (contact edwards@sketters.co.uk for more details).

Please look out for emails and flyers about the next course (see panel below) or get in touch with a committee member (Squash Section Home Page). The courses are aimed at all level of players, especially total beginners, and are generally run around May and November.
