The 'Doubles Evenings' have
been temporarily suspended
- notice will be given before they start up again. The event normally takes
place on Thursday evenings
from 6.00pm. Please get in touch if you would like to
participate or organise this event.
Everyone is welcome to
attend
The Thursday night sessions
allow people to turn up and partner different people in order to get the hang
of the game, and then maybe more stable partnerships will begin to emerge.
Those that attend on these evenings will play matches on a
‘round-robin’ basis.
If you are interested in
organising the sessions, forming a partnership or just attending the Thursday
night sessions to be partnered-up, please let a member of the squash committee
know. (http://intra.icr.ac.uk/upsdowns/_squash.htm

As the doubles game may be
new to a lot of people, the Squash Section runs tuition sessions with
experienced players to show people the ropes. We also have access to our
resident coach - Ron Nye, who is always keen to help us out.
Players will be asked to wear
safety glasses for doubles - these will be provided on loan by the club.
If there is sufficient
interest, we would plan to start a 'doubles ladder'.
