Yoga Classes at the Downs Hall
Regular yoga
practice is shown to be effective in reducing body weight and girth,
cholesterol and blood sugar levels, blood pressure and also increasing lung
capacity, flexibility, strength and resistance to stress.
VINYASA Yoga - Mondays 5.15 - 6.15pm
This is a dynamic and flowing style of yoga that links breath
with movement through different postures.
The class works towards a peak, or challenge posture, followed by
integration.
£5 per session. Please bring your own mat. Props
are provided.
ASHTANGA Yoga - Wednesday 5.10 - 6.00pm
This can be a more physically demanding form of yoga that works through a set
series of postures, with emphasis on forward folds and building core strength. Modifications
are provided for all abilities.
£5 per session.
Please bring your own mat. Props
are provided.
Anyone
is welcome to attend any of these sessions which are suitable for all levels of
ability.
