Agenda:
1. Squash
club accounts – transferring signatories after co-opting (17 September 2004) of
new Treasurer - Laure Parent, to squash committee.
Meeting:
1. The meeting was called by Laure
and Maggie in order to discuss their experiences with transferring signatories
(Sep 2004) at Lloyds TSB and the Halifax.
The
Lloyds form for transferring signatories was dealt with first.
This
was a simple matter of Laure adding her details and then Bob and Steve
resigning. Maggie signed a section to withdraw her signing rights.
Laure
had entered the ‘Joint Physics Dept’ as the mailing address, those present
agreed a note should be added to clarify that this address was for mailing statements
etc., and that the official club address had not changed from that currently
registered.
Laure agreed to photocopy the form prior to submitting it.
The Halifax had advised Maggie and Laure that, due to new
safeguards, the account would need to be terminated and opened from fresh if we
wanted to change signatories. Those present agreed that this procedure seemed a
bit involved and that we could function with just Bob and Steve as signatories
for the time being.
The meeting heard that another stipulation imposed by the
Halifax is that two signatures are needed now on a withdrawal and, in
addition, a withdrawal form also needs to be completed (Laure has some blank
forms).
Those present agreed that we would change signatories at a
commonly agreed time in the future.
