16.12.08: Update 11.02.09 Dear Julie, Just further
to our chat on the phone earlier on, I am writing on behalf of The Ups and
pH Bar Management Committee to confirm that we are happy to accept a formal
application from the Sutton Police Belmont Safer Neighbourhoods Team to
apply for membership to the Sports and Social Club. Just to
provide you with some more information on this. On receipt of the formal
application, the management committee will need to consider what class of
membership to offer and in what affiliation context. They may also wish to
impose specific ‘terms and conditions’ for this particular group -
particularly with regard to the squash facility. Further details on this
will be provided by Helen in due course. In order to
help the committee with their consideration of the application, I think it
would be a good idea if myself and other interested parties met with the
group in order to go over this, and more importantly to find out how many
people would be involved and to gauge their potential usage. Thank you for
offering to set up this meeting. As mentioned earlier I am available next
week on Monday and Tues and can hopefully fit around any shift patterns
concerned. Could you
please convey our apologies to the group for the delay in processing their
request. The application to use our facilities is a little outside the
normal business of the club and the matter has required the consideration
of many more people than is usual. I look forward

Sutton Police Belmont Safer Neighbourhoods Team to use our squash facility. The Squash Section is part of the Ups Club. It is the Ups Club that
would make decisions on these wider affiliation questions. I am therefore copying this enquiry to Helen Taylor who is the
Chairman of the Ups Club for her consideration. Following a decision by the Ups Club, the Squash Section Committee

They would mainly use at weekends and evenings. I have told them that the court is
run by ICR , they would need
to purchase tickets/stickers to be able to book a court and that I would
