Squash Section - Rules

1.    You are requested to refrain from playing a shot, and to ask for a ‘let’, if there is any chance of hitting an opponent during the execution of the shot. [Click here for details]

2.    The Squash Section advises all players to wear protective squash eye goggles whilst playing. Loan goggles are provided.

3.    Please help to keep the court dirt-free by not wearing your squash shoes outside.

Sports shoes can pick up MUD and this can be carried in by players. This in turn can polish the floor and make it slippery - we ask for your co-operation in helping to avoid this.

Please report a slippery floor to a committee member at your earliest convenience.

4.    Wear non-marking shoes or trainers (white sole not black).

5.    Players are encouraged to sweep the floor prior to playing with the broom provided.

6.    The squash court is for the use of The Ups Club members only. We have a GUEST policy - shown on our squash web page.
Children (U18) must always be supervised. Our full ‘Children’s Policy’ is also available on our squash web page.

7.    No racquet ball to be played.

8.    No smoking on premises.

9.    Please keep court inner door closed at all times to reduce dust and dirt ingress.

10.  In the interest of security, please ensure the outer door is closed fully when you leave.

11. The squash section accepts no liability for any injuries incurred by members whilst playing. Please report all accidents and injuries to a committee member. This is a condition not a request ! A first-aid kit is provided. [Click here for our accident injury policy]

12.  As there is no phone in the squash court, players are advised to attend with a mobile phone for their personal safety and security.
